On February 11, 2017, Miller Crenshaw and Hunter Cowan celebrated their marriage with family and friends. The couple began the celebration with a rehearsal dinner the night before the wedding at the University Club of Memphis. Miller and Hunter have an appreciation for family tradition, so they willingly sipped their ceremonial drink from one another’s old gym shoes.
On Saturday, Miller and Hunter were married in the beautiful Calvary Episcopal Church of Memphis. With its high ceilings and stunning stained-glass windows, the church made for an exceptional wedding venue. The Garden District designed the floral arrangements, and White Door Events provided the rentals. Mona Dunlap served as wedding designer and coordinator.
The reception for this fun-loving couple was held at The Columns in Memphis. The decorations for the party were classic and elegant with lots of greenery and trees wrapped in twinkling lights. Shimmering crystal candelabras served as centerpieces for the tables covered in glitzy tablecloths. The candles and lighted trees gave the venue a magical feel. With the “Miller Time” theme in mind, guests were served glass bottles of Miller Light and given Miller High Life baseball caps. Guests enjoyed a spread of delicious meats, cheeses, and other delectable treats by Elizabeth Heiskell Catering. The fun continued with a hilarious groom’s cake and a special first dance as Mr. and Mrs. Cowan.
Hunter’s bridal hair was styled by Kelly Beers Salon of Memphis, and Alicia Boldreghini George did her makeup. Hunter’s bridesmaids wore identical spaghetti-strap gowns in a dark teal shade. The groom and his men wore classic black tuxedos and matching bow ties.
After an evening of celebration with friends and family, Miller and Hunter drove away to the sound of their loved ones chanting the familiar “Hotty Toddy” cheer.
