Savannah and Wilson emulate joy. Characterized by their friendship and devotion to each other, their wedding was a true privilege to shoot.” – Ann-Marie

“To be honest, I never really thought much about my wedding day growing up. I didn’t even have a ‘dream wedding’ Pinterest board before we got engaged, so I really had to start from scratch! There were pros and cons to this, as I didn’t have lofty expectations or disappointments if any of my dreams weren’t met. However, figuring out where to start on planning was a little more stressful, because I had to figure out what I wanted before we started booking things! The day turned out even better than I could have imagined, and we had so much fun celebrating with our friends & family. I couldn’t ask
for anything more!”
– Savannah

“Wilson’s parents retired in Oxford and we live in Houston, so they were super helpful with meeting with vendors and local needs. My mom is very creative, so she helped me with the overall vision and design of the wedding. Our friends in our bridal party made the lead up to the wedding so much fun by throwing us an engagement party and traveling to Arizona and Colorado for our bachelor and bachelorette parties!” – Savannah

“The best way to describe our relationship is that we are best friends in love. We genuinely have fun together and enjoy going on adventures with each other! I couldn’t imagine spending every day with anyone else.” – Savannah

“We met through mutual friends at Ole Miss. We still think it is funny that we were in the same friend circle all through school, but we didn’t meet until junior year! We were just friends for a while and slowly developed feelings for each other. We finally admitted it to each other and started dating our second semester of senior year!” – Savannah

“We got engaged during a trip to Sedona, Arizona. He completely surprised me, because I had planned the whole trip! The first night we arrived, he was very persistent on watching the sunset before our dinner reservations. We had 2 more nights of our trip, so I thought it was weird that we HAD to see the sunset that night. Looking back, he was definitely nervous and ready to get the question out of the way! I didn’t even have my nails done, because we were mostly hiking during our visit so he definitely surprised me! It was a perfect proposal, and I love that he picked a beautiful place with just us to ask.” – Savannah

“Savannah is MY best friend! She is the most understanding, supportive, funny and beautiful person I know. I don’t think I would be who I am today without her. She can always keep me grounded while also making sure I take advantage of everything life has to offer. Savannah truly is my best friend and I wouldn’t want to spend my life with anyone else.” -Wilson

“Wilson is my best friend! He is kind, funny, charming, hard working, handsome, and so much more. It’s hard to find someone that doesn’t instantly like him. I had to cap how many groomsmen he had, because he has so many more friends than me lol! I love so many things about him, but I mostly love how I can truly be myself around him. He makes me feel loved and just comfortable being me.” – Savannah

“All of our vendors did an amazing job! I have to brag about our florist, Amy Knolts, with Bette’s Flowers. She was great with communication, especially with us living out of state. All of the arrangements were beautiful and exactly how I imagined. We had originally planned for the ceremony to be outside, but we moved it into the chapel 2 days before the wedding due to the weather forecast. She did an amazing job
transitioning the arrangements we had planned to fit the new space with such short notice!”
– Savannah

“I will also brag about the wedding coordinator at Castle Hill, Emily Burton! She ensured the day went so smoothly and I was not stressed at all. She was extremely helpful while also giving us space to enjoy the day. You could definitely tell how experienced she was with weddings & events!” – Savannah

“My main thought when designing our wedding is that I wanted it to be timeless and
classic. I tried not to choose elements that were too trendy so you couldn’t guess what
year our wedding was by looking at the photos.”
– Savannah

“Our family and friends made our day special by traveling from all across the country to celebrate! Neither of us are from Mississippi, so most of our guests had to drive many hours or fly in for the wedding. We were grateful that so many of our friends & family chose to be with us on our wedding day!” – Savannah

“My favorite moment from our wedding day was right after the ceremony. We were pulled aside to take a few sunset pictures and then had a few minutes alone in a private courtyard before the reception. There was a bench swing, so we sat down together and we were able to absorb the fact that we were married! It was one of the few times that day that we were alone together, a calm moment before joining our friends & family for the party.” – Savannah

“I really enjoyed the time we were able to spend alone together after the ceremony. It was in the courtyard at sunset. There was a bench we were able to sit on and just talk about the joy we had for one another. Time seemed to stand still and nothing else in the world mattered other than we were there together in that moment.” – Wilson

“One thing we incorporated into our wedding is that I changed into my dad’s white dinner jacket for the reception. It was a fun outfit change to transition into the party and was also special because it was one of the things I brought as a freshman to Ole Miss.” – Wilson

“One fun thing that we did is distribute disposable cameras to our bridesmaids and
groomsmen. We enjoyed getting to relive the day from their perspective and we got
some cute and funny pictures from them!”
