A Sunset Ceremony to Remember at Shelby Farms

This wedding day truly was one to remember. The early fall weather at Shelby Farms could not have been more perfect, and the sunset that evening made for one of the most beautiful ceremonies I’ve ever shot. Thank you, Meredith and David, for trusting us to capture such a special day for the two of you and your families. I love how this gallery turned out and I can’t wait to share it with all of you!

“David and I have known each other since middle school and have always been good friends. According to his mom, he knew he wanted to marry me ever since.” – Meredith

“We were good friends from high school, then we both went to UT Knoxville for undergrad. He’s a year above me in school, so it was nice to get there and have someone to reach out to. We went to a couple date parties together over the years truly just as friends. Then my junior year and his senior year, it became more, and the rest is history!” – Meredith

“It was around Christmas, so South Main was decorated with colorful lights. We went to dinner at Bishop, then when we left, he got down on one knee in the middle of Main on the way to the car. Both of our families came out and surprised me afterwards. Then we all went to celebrate with friends.” – Meredith

“I knew I wanted it to be simple and laid back with lots of greenery and some components outside. Shelby Farms is so beautiful, so I was just hoping and praying that it would be able to show on wedding day.” – Meredith

“L and Jay did amazing with the flowers as did Paradox with the food! The biggest shout-out goes to Mackenzie, the best wedding photographer there is!” – Meredith

“I was most surprised by how smoothly the day went. Huge props to my Mom who was on top of every detail and deserves an award (and vacation). Also the weather and sunset were incredible.” – Meredith

“The best advice that I received as a bride was to be aware that it will be stressful, but do your best to enjoy and hold onto every moment. It goes by in the blink of an eye.” – Meredith

“My advice to future brides would be to let other people help you with planning! And get some rest on Friday night.” – Meredith

“We ended the night with the most Memphis wedding tradition there is – end the night at Raifords! We also had polaroid cameras for people to use as part of the guest book, and looking back on those photos was so fun and funny.”
