Mary Catherine and Micheal, we are so glad that we got to be a small part of this special day! This love story is a rare love story that many dream of. High school sweethearts who stuck together through it all. The Lord’s blessing over this marriage was so evident throughout the whole day. This beautiful couple was easy to capture and loved one another so well. —Lexi

“ As a little girl I always played dress up and thought about what it would be like on my wedding day. I never realized how exciting it would actually be to be able to slip on my wedding dress and be able to walk down the aisle. After years of dating it was so exciting to be able to marry my best friend.” –Mary Catherine

“ A few days before the wedding Michaels mother brought me a box to open. It had Michael’s bonnet in it that he came home from the hospital in and told me that she had saved it for the woman he married to use on her wedding day. It was so sweet and thoughtful. I was so honored to be able to wrap it around my bouquet of flowers on the day of our wedding.” -Mary Catherine

“ One special gift that was given to me was a gift from my mom. She had planned to get each of her girls something special for them on their wedding day and I opened a box to a beautiful pearl necklace to wear on our day. It was so beautiful and fit just right.” -Mary Catherine

“I actually knew Michael since kindergarten. We went to the same school but our paths didn’t cross until our junior year of high school. After we went on the first date, we were inseparable. He would come over every afternoon after football practice and even hang out on the weekends.” -Mary Catherine

“It’s actually a kind of a funny story because it was on the night of April first when he asked me to be his girlfriend, which of course is April fools day. We were all dressed up and getting ready to walk across the parking lot where all our friends were and he stopped and asked me if I would be his girlfriend, for a second I wasn’t sure if he was trying to play a joke on me or not. He laughed and told me he was really being serious.  Needless to say, that was the best prom ever! ” -Mary Catherine

“ The proposal happened in Oxford, MS in the fall. I had wanted to go and pick out pumpkins for a while and he told me that when we go to eat in oxford one weekend that he would take me to get one. There is a church right on the square that is covered in pumpkins every fall called St. Peter’s Church that he took me to before we ate. Once we found a pumpkin he asked a lady that was working to take our picture and as she was taking our picture he got down on one knee and asked me to marry him. We shared some sweet moments as people walked by clapping and say congratulations as they went to the square. We then walked down to the square where some of our family was waiting on us where we had planned to eat.” -Mary Catherine

“What made our wedding day so special was definitely the people! Every person played their own special part in helping make our wedding the most unforgettable day. It was so unreal to walk through the doors as the music played to see all of my friends and family there for us.” -Mary Catherine

“The best advice given to me as a bride was to soak up everything. These will be some of the best moments of your life and will happen all in one day.”  -Mary Catherine

“What surprised me the most about how our wedding day played out is that it was suppose to be 100% chance rain for our wedding day all week long, even the night before the wedding there was rain in the forecast. The Lord was so good to us and it did not rain one drop that day and I was able to get outside pictures that I had dreamed of.”  -Mary Catherine

Thank you, Mary Catherine and Micheal, for trusting us to capture your wedding day! We wish you a lifetime of happiness. Welcome to the Taylor Square Family! —Lexi
