Julia and Sam’s wedding day was nothing short of the perfect Southern, summer wedding. We are so thankful that they asked us to help document such an amazing day spent celebrating their love.
“Julia and I are always surrounded by friends. The friend group she introduced me to really accepted me and are some of my closest friends. We love being with them. One place that was kind of just ours, was the roof top of my condo downtown. We would share a meal or a bottle of wine up there and enjoy sunsets from time to time. I set the stage, with the help of her friends, with candles, white table cloth, and champagne and asked her to meet me up there before going out with friends. Julia was completely surprised when she opened the door & we shared a beautiful moment up there with the sun setting over the river.” -SamÂ
“I was so nervous during the wedding preparation with the anticipation of how the day would play out. We decided to do a first look and the moment I saw Sam all of my worries went away. I was able to relax and be in the moment without worrying about the small stuff.” -Julia
“For us, the most special thing was being surrounded by the people that are closest to us. It’s really the only time that everyone that helped mold you into the person you are is in one place. Through life you create different friend groups and seeing those worlds collide along with family was special. Seeing family, childhood friends, high school friends, college friends, and post college friends interact and get along is something I’ve always looked forward to. Each one of them played a role in developing us and molding us into the people that we are as individuals and what made us so compatible as a couple.” -Sam
“Sam and I are both University of Tennessee fans. I went to UT and Sam went to West Alabama to play baseball but grew up a huge UT fan. We brought out UT shakers for Rocky Top. It was fun to incorporate into the wedding.” -Julia
“We had the best vendors! Al Paris killed it and we felt like we were at a concert. He made it so fun for everyone. He and the band brought a ton of energy and the dance floor was full of people the entire time.” -Julia
“My advice to future brides would be to not sweat the small stuff, try to be in the moment, and take it all in. Things will go wrong and did go wrong but I was only worried about being with Sam and trying to soak up every second.” -Julia
