It’s funny how life works out full-circle sometimes. Alex’s grandmother and grandfather, Pat and Ken, taught me Sunday school from the time that I was very young at a little country church in Guntown, Mississippi. Fast-forward thirty-five years later, and I discover that after I have booked Alex’s wedding, that she is, in fact, their beloved granddaughter.

Unfortunately, Pat passed away this past Spring. I am so honored that I was able to be part of such a special day for a family that has meant so much to me in my early years.

Alex and Shreve, your wedding was absolutely stunning, and we were so thrilled to be there to witness all of the magic. You are so blessed with an amazing group of family and friends. We hope that you both love this preview!

“When I was little, I never really thought about how my wedding day would go, but I definitely dreamt about the man who I was going to marry one day. With the happiest heart, I can say Shreve is the man of my dreams, and I will be forever thankful to call him my husband.” – Alex

“One night I was out with some girlfriends at a party in Oxford, and one of my friends pointed out that some guy in the crowd was giving me a weird look as if he knew who I was but wasn’t totally sure. So I turned around and noticed that I kind of vaguely recognized who he was as well. Once I met his gaze, he walked on over to my friends and me and said, ‘I’m sorry to bother you, but is your name Alex Adderholt by chance? I think we might have met at Freshman Orientation a year ago.’ That’s when I finally realized why he looked familiar! We met at Freshman Honors Orientation, where everyone was required to say their name, where they’re from, and one favorite thing. So I remembered his name was Shreve Guthrie (because who could forget a name like that?), he was from Port Gibson, Mississippi, and he liked tennis! We ended up talking for hours at this party, and when it was time for my girlfriends and I to leave, he asked for my number. The next day I get a text asking to go play a match of tennis, and the rest is history!” -Alex

“It was the night before Christmas Eve, and we had a Christmas party to go to that night. I’ve always loved going to look at Christmas lights, and so he suggested if I get ready in time, we’ll go see some lights on our way to the Christmas party. So we’re walking around downtown, and he stops in the middle of all the beautiful lights and gets down on one knee! My family was in on it and everything! It was such a magical surprise, and we got to celebrate with my family afterward, which made it all the more special to me.” – Alex

“Having all our family and friends in our favorite town, where so many memories were made, made our wedding day extremely special.” – Alex

“All our vendors were INCREDIBLE. Everyone was so attentive and very detail-oriented, which made the whole process very smooth and enjoyable! Castle Hill was more than just our venue though, they orchestrated all the logistics and were available for anything we needed throughout the entire wedding process. They were amazing!” – Alex
