Styled Shoot | The Mill at Plein Air

Photography is such a creative job. Unfortunately, when you are shooting as often as I am, the creativity sometimes gets limited due to time, budgets, and overall cooperation of clients. Styled shoots are the culmination of months of planning to come together for a little fun!

I absolutely love doing styled shoots because I have the opportunity to be creative, push the envelope, and work with amazing vendors that share my same excitement.

We had such a great time bringing this vision to fruition. Although it was raining cats and dogs the entire day, we had an amazing venue with many shooting options to make the vision come to life.

Enjoy these beautiful scenes from some of the most talented vendors in the Mid-South.

“I love color, whether it is filling an entire arrangement or standing out in a bold pop of color. Color can help make your wedding personal. I encourage brides not to shy away from it if they are thinking about incorporating some color. It’s bold and memorable. There is also something refreshing to guests as they are welcomed with beautiful colors as they celebrate the couple at their summer wedding. I also love creating eye-catching displays that will ‘wow’ people and make them remember the floral experience. When creating designs, I think about the bride, the couple, and their style, and then how the flowers can represent them. Weddings are meant to be memorable and fun, and it’s my goal to do my part to make that happen!” – John Mark Sharpe, John Mark Enterprises

“As the wedding dress vendor, my planning was quite easy! Faith had an idea of what she wanted each vignette to look and feel like so it was fun to follow her vision. With each style that she gave me, I wanted to make sure that the dress translated into a look that was current yet timeless. Photos are forever, so I wanted to make sure that the gowns that were used worked with all the different vendor’s work and blended to create a beautiful balanced picture.” – Elizabeth Rose, Willow Bride

“We love to mix vintage with classic and of course a touch of sparkle. It is so refreshing at a reception to see a little unexpected flair that can personalize each wedding.” – Ann Marie Shivers, Details Rentals

“All the collaboration that went into this styled shoot was brilliant. I saw before my eyes amazing talents unfold into four different styles fit for any bride’s dream wedding. The gorgeous venue, flowers, gowns, and make-up made my creativity blossom, thus bringing each of my hairstyles to life! Taylor Square Photography captured the beauty of it all.” – Karissa Dickerson, Karissa Dickerson Hair

I want to extend a huge thank you to all the vendors that collaborated on this shoot. Each and every one of you work so hard to make your clients happy. I know this shoot required sacrifice to happen. Thank you so much for taking the time to play! Your hard work is appreciated!
