Savannah and Tanner’s wedding could not have turned out to be more of a perfect day. It was filled with beautiful weather, a super sweet, madly in love bride and groom, and a stunning sunset ceremony. The party wasn’t half bad, either!
Savanah and Tanner, we absolutely loved working with you guys! We are so thankful that we got to spend such a gorgeous day with you and your amazing families.

“I have been dreaming about my wedding and praying for my future husband ever since I can remember. I used to think to myself in high school and college, ‘I just wish I could see my husband’s face and know if I am happy.’ Younger Savannah had no idea just how happy she would be or how perfect her husband would be. I feel blessed beyond measure to have married the love of my life and to have had the most amazing wedding day that I could ever have dreamed of!” – Savannah
“My bouquet was wrapped in a piece of my mother’s wedding dress, and my garter was also made out of her wedding dress. I admire my mom in every way, and I am her only daughter, so it was so special to have a piece of her wedding dress with me as I walked down the aisle.” – Savannah
“Tanner and I wrote letters to each other on our wedding day, and we read them separately before we did our first look. He gave me a Bible with my new last name on it, and it was such a special moment. It made me so excited for our first look; I wanted to hug him so tight!” – Savannah
“Tanner and I both lost very close family members during our engagement, and it was important for us to honor them on our wedding day. Tanner carried a pin with a photo of his dad in his jacket throughout the day, and I had my grandmothers’ pin with me.” – Savannah
“Tanner and I both went to Mississippi State together. We hit it off at a mutual friend’s birthday party in the spring of 2019, and we decided we wanted to get to know each other better. I’ll never forget the special day when Tanner drove us out to the National Wildlife Refuge at Mississippi State to watch the sunset. As we were sitting by the water, Tanner said many sweet things to me, and he asked me to be his girlfriend. Afterward, we went to Tanner’s house and baked cookies. Cookies have remained our favorite food to bake and eat together. Tanner told me he loved me shortly after we started dating, and the rest is history! About ten months later, Tanner asked me to marry him. You know what they say, when you know, you know.” – Savannah
“Right after Tanner and I started dating, we spent three months apart. I moved to Montana for the summer to work, and Tanner lived in Africa for the summer doing mission work. We grew more than ever as individuals, as a couple, and in our walks with Christ. As soon as Tanner returned from Africa, he told me he wanted to spend his life with me.” – Savannah
“Savannah and I would often take evening walks around my neighborhood, which led us to discover a swing overlooking the bayou. This became Savannah and mine’s favorite spot to enjoy many beautiful sunsets together. Fortunately for me, the lot was listed for sale, and my mother is an active realtor. I convinced Savannah that my mom was the listing agent and that she was going to take professional photos for the listing. Savannah doesn’t know much about realty, but to emphasize and convince her of the validity of the photoshoot, I tricked her into thinking that the lot was listed for over one million dollars. Also, to throw the scent off of the trail, I tried to remain wishy-washy as to if the photoshoot was even going to occur- even so far as telling her the day of that the photoshoot was canceled, but there was a slight chance it might still happen. As soon as Savannah arrived on the coast, I told her that we were able to procure the photographer for the evening. We arrived at the lot that we so often had enjoyed at sunset and sat on the swing to take photos for the ‘listing.’ My heart was about to beat out of my chest when I finally mustered up the courage to get down on one knee and ask Savannah to be my wife.” -Tanner
“Our wedding weekend was so special because we were surrounded by those we love most. Family and friends are very important to Savannah and me, and we had the best time celebrating with them. We are so thankful for everyone who drove so far to be with us and make us feel loved.” – Tanner
“I was told that our wedding day would go by so fast and be a whirlwind of emotions. A great piece of advice I received was to take a minute to step back, breathe, and take it all in. I went through the day taking ‘snapshots’ in my mind of everything around me, and I am so glad that I did. If I close my eyes, I can still feel the wind blowing my hair before I walked down the aisle and the butterflies I felt from the excitement of marrying the love of my life!” – Savannah
“Tanner is a big hunter, and he loves animals. A cool moment that happened during our ceremony was, right after the pronouncement of our marriage, a flock of geese flew over our heads.” – Savannah
“It was very important to Tanner and me to have a ceremony that was Christ-centered and glorified Him. Our outdoor ceremony was so special to us, and the weather was absolutely perfect. At the conclusion of our wedding, we walked away together, hand in hand, into the sunset, literally. It was a moment I will never forget!” – Savannah
“The most surprising thing to me was how smoothly everything went on the day of the wedding. I, naturally, am a very stressed out person with a type ‘A’ personality. I was a little anxious until during the first look. When I saw Tanner’s face and was able to be in his arms, all of my nerves melted away, and all that mattered was us.” – Savannah
“I had a very specific dream for my wedding design, and all of my ideas and visions came to life exactly how I wanted them to! Our venue, The Jefferson, was rustic yet elegant, and I wanted the décor to be romantic and timeless with pops of fall colors. I decided on a fall floral combination and the romantic feel of greenery, candles, and hanging orbs. It was very important to me that we got married in front of a floral cross since we were unable to get married in a church. Also, even before I got engaged, I knew I wanted to have a hanging cake with flowers surrounding the base and cascading down the sides. This was one of my main requests, and it turned out absolutely gorgeous! Every single detail of our wedding was perfect, and I have my amazing vendors to thank for that.” – Savannah
“I was named after the movie ‘Savannah Smiles,’ and it is a movie that my family and I watch often. My dad and I danced to the song ‘When Savannah Smiles’ for our Father-Daughter dance, and it was such a special moment. For two minutes, we blocked everyone else out and soaked in the sweet moment of being together.” – Savannah
“Every single vendor that I worked with was amazing, kind, and organized. They all answered every question that I had and listened to my dreams and ideas. I am beyond thankful for all of them! Al Paris and the Heartbreakers was the best band we have ever heard in our whole life. They kept the energy high, and our guests did not leave the dance floor all night. Mr. David with Oxford Floral made all my wildest floral dreams come true. He truly cared about what I wanted and is hands down the best to work with. Details Rentals went above and beyond to help plan our floor layout, design, and all of our rentals. They truly have an eye for what they do, and it all turned out so beautifully. Ann-Marie and Mackenzie seemed to capture every single moment, and I am so thankful they were my photographers. I know their photos are going to be out of this world. Lastly, Ellen, my wedding planner, worked tirelessly to make sure all of my dreams came to life. I had some last-minute changes, and Ellen helped me with the design and layout. If there were any mishaps the day of, I never knew! She worked so hard behind the scenes to make the day flow perfectly, and she kept a positive and fun attitude the whole time.” – Savannah
“A moment that made me giggle during our wedding was all of the groomsmen got on the stage and had a dance-off. The guys took turns dancing in the center and showing off some pretty crazy moves. When it was Tanner’s turn to dance, he did a little shimmy, and I could not help but bust out laughing! He is just so cute when he dances.” – Savannah
“My advice to other brides is to get on the dance floor! Tanner and I balanced visiting with guests and dancing perfectly. We had so much fun with our friends dancing, and I would not change that for anything. Another piece of advice I have is to stay together. It’s easy to get separated during the night because everyone wants to talk with you and take pictures. Tanner and I agreed before the wedding day that we wanted to stay together, and it made me so happy to be by his side the whole night on such a special day.” – Savannah
