A Beautiful Southern Spring Wedding | Caroline & Corbin

This couple is one of my very favorites. I met Caroline and Corbin when we shot their engagement photos last September, and I have truly been looking forward to their wedding weekend ever since. They are magic in front of the camera. Their chemistry and excitement made for a weekend filled with emotional and joyful moments that created some of my favorite wedding photos yet. I hope that you all enjoy this look into Caroline and Corbin’s perfect wedding day.

“Corbin and I met in August of 2017 in Oxford, MS. He was a senior at Ole Miss at the time and I was a junior. One of my best friends and bridesmaids, Alexandra, just knew that we were a perfect fit for each other. Alexandra and I joined Corbin and a few of his friends on the day of the solar eclipse that August and the rest is history!” – Caroline

“Corbin and I decided we wanted to do something different for Memorial Day Weekend last year. I threw out Amelia Island as I hadn’t been in a long time and it was a special place for me growing up. Corbin decided that it would be the perfect place to propose and invite family to come as well. We began the trip with showing Corbin around. The first place we stopped at was the Amelia Island chapel where my parents got married. The chapel ‘happened’ to be open so we walked in to take a look around. Little did I know Corbin was about to get down on one knee. I had never been more surprised!! It got even better when I soon realized my family was there to witness the whole proposal from the balcony of the chapel. It was such a special weekend.” – Caroline

“I wore the same pearl bracelet that my mom wore on her wedding day. Her grandmother gave her the bracelet right before she walked down the aisle. I loved sharing this with my mom!” – Caroline

“My mom’s best friends from college also started the sweetest tradition since I was the first child to get married in their group. They monogrammed our names/wedding date on a handkerchief  and plan to continue to add monograms for every child on their wedding day!” – Caroline

“What surprised me most about the day of my wedding was how calm and relaxed I was. I felt a sense of peace throughout the entire day due to my family, friends, and vendors creating the perfect day.” – Caroline

“I really wanted our wedding design to be classic and  traditional. I wanted to add touches of blue throughout – the invitations, flowers, table cloths, etc. Every little detail was exactly how I had imagined and planned – it was truly perfect!!” – Caroline

“A funny story on our wedding day was that Corbin was fly fishing in the lake at The Jefferson. For anyone who knows Corbin, they know he loves to be outdoors either hunting, fishing, or just being with friends. When I found out he was fishing, I definitely wasn’t surprised but just hoped he didn’t smell like a fish!” – Caroline

“Our wedding vendors were incredible!!!  This day would not have been possible without our wedding planner (who happened to also be my mom’s MOH!), Sheril. She was on top of every single detail of the entire weekend. She took my vision and made it my dream wedding! Sheril, my mom, and I had many day trips to Oxford over the past year to meet with vendors and always ended with shopping on the square, of course!” – Caroline

“Since I was a little girl, I have always dreamed of the day that I got to walk down the aisle with my dad and meet the person I love at the end of the aisle. After meeting Corbin, I soon realized he more than met my expectations for the husband I had always dreamed of.” – Caroline

“Corbin’s sister, Quinn, and his two cousins, Meg and Campbell, sang ‘Surely the Presence of the Lord is in this Place’ during the wedding ceremony. This song has been included in all of the weddings on the Siegfried side of the family. It was beautiful!” – Caroline

“Getting to marry Corbin in the place we met and both hold so close to our hearts was the most special part of our wedding weekend. It was also so special to us to be able to have all of our friends and family together in one place.” – Caroline

“We absolutely loved working with Mackenzie! We got to know her during our engagement picture session. We told her from the beginning we didn’t want to do a first look and she fully supported our decision. She assured us we would still get all of the pictures we wanted in a timely fashion!” – Caroline

“Corbin and I actually started one of our own traditions at our wedding that I am excited to continue. When cutting the cake, we used my great grandmother’s silver wine goblets.” – Caroline

“The Oxford Floral team did an amazing job bringing my vision to life. I showed David a few pictures of what I had in mind and was fully confident in what he would create for my wedding day.” – Caroline

“The best advice I received as a bride was to step back and take it all in because it can get very overwhelming!” – Caroline

“My advice for future brides is to not sweat the small stuff! Most likely something is not going to go as planned during your wedding weekend but it will not matter in the end!” – Caroline
