A day that was predicted to be a washout ended up being an absolutely wonderful, dry day filled with beautiful pictures and so much love. Mary Holt and Cameron share the sweetest family and friends that helped make their day perfect. Thankfully, the rain held off until we finished all of the outdoor photos we needed to get and we were able to enjoy the rest of the night stress-free!

Mary Holt and Cameron, thank you guys for allowing us to play a role in documenting this beautiful wedding. We wish you both a lifetime of happiness!

“Cam and one of his friends invited themselves to my best friend’s 21st birthday party in college. At that party, Cam convinced me that he would be a good formal date, so of course, I asked him. We had a great time at that formal and afterward our friendship grew deeper and deeper, and eventually, we started dating.” – Mary Holt

“I went to formal with Mary Holt just as friends. We had a great time, but my favorite part was the bus ride back when it was just me and her…that’s when I knew that I really liked her, and I haven’t been able to get her off my mind since.” -Cam

“I did not make planning or executing the engagement easy for Cam. We planned to stop in Oxford to get a license plate that he wanted, which I thought was silly for us to do in the beginning, on our way to move me to Nashville. Luckily I was driving because he had to change his proposal plan on the way several times. He kept trying to convince me to go on a walk with him at Whirlpool trails or the Grove (which I now know was his original proposal plan). I was not dressed to go walking, and I was so focused on it being a quick stop. He said he had to stop at the house where he had lived in college to get some mail from inside. He somehow convinced me to walk with him into the backyard and proposed there. I was so surprised. It may not have been the most beautiful spot, but it was the place where we had our first date. Despite me making it as difficult as I could, it was really sweet and something I will always remember!” – Mary Holt

“Both Cam’s mom and sister wore his grandmother’s wedding dress on their wedding day. I was so honored to be able to keep the tradition going by having a garter made from pieces of the dress to wear on my wedding day” – Mary Holt

“I could not have asked for better vendors. They made my visions come to life and more. Everyone was so easy to work with, which is so important planning in the middle of a pandemic. I do have to brag on Maggie Louise, though. They make dress shopping and the experience exactly what you as the bride need. Carolyn and all the girls made me feel so at ease and beautiful. I can’t recommend them enough!” – Mary Holt

“Our wedding was special because we were able to have those who are no longer with us still be remembered on our special day. We had wedding photographs from our grandparents’ and parents’ wedding days on display at the reception. One of the sweetest moments for me was helping Cam put on his grandfather Bob’s cufflinks, who had recently passed away. We know he wanted to be at the wedding, and we were so happy to remember him in this way” – Mary Holt

“Ann Marie told me this in one of our meetings, and I completely agree: A first look is a must. Not only does it let you and your bridal party get to the reception faster, but it also helps with any nerves you may have the day of. I can’t even describe how at ease I felt after seeing Cam for the first time.” – Mary Holt

I had never really dreamed about my wedding day before. And I definitely never thought that I would have one as fun as we did. – Cam

“Plein Air was not just one of the many venues we looked at for our wedding; it was the only option for us. In college, we would spend many nights driving to Taylor to stargaze and just enjoy each other’s company and conversation. It was also where we had our first kiss.” – Mary Holt

“The best advice I received during my engagement season was not to plan more for the wedding than you do for your marriage. In all the excitement and preparation for the wedding, it is easy to forget what you are actually planning for- a life with your best friend. We were so blessed by great marriage mentors, Swayze and Melinda Alford, through our college church, Pinelake. I would encourage every couple to invest in pre-marital counseling.” – Mary Holt

“We got engaged and married during the pandemic, so I think we were ready for anything. We were just so relieved to be able to celebrate with friends and family. We could not have asked for anything more.” – Mary Holt
