Jordan + Jackson | Elegant Memphis Peabody Wedding

Jordan and Jackson, we were honored to be a part of your special day. The love that these two share is so evident and natural, and we hope that these photos translate that well. We wish you all of the happiness in the world!

“Jackson and I met my freshman year of college (his senior year) at a party one night at the Sigma Chi house at the University of Arkansas. After we met that night, we hung out and went on a few dates for a few weeks, and from there it’s history!” – Jordan

“We decided to exchange Christmas presents the Saturday before Christmas so that Jackson could go down to Helena to spend the holidays with his family. We exchanged gifts, and his last gift to me was the ring!” – Jordan

“We had a few reasons that we picked the Peabody, but the most important reason was that we celebrate Christmas there on my dad’s side of the family every year. While we didn’t get married in December, being there on my wedding day invoked all of our traditions that I love. I love that now, even more of my most cherished memories will be held at the Peabody.” – Jordan

“I did not have much design inspiration other than I wanted it to be very simple and elegant. It was a black-tie wedding, so I wanted it to reflect the sophistication but not too overwhelming. The color scheme was inspired by one of my favorite fragrances (I work for a home fragrance company, Aromatique): Fresh Hydrangea.” – Jordan

“Jackson’s Uncle, Danny Schieffler, married us. It made it so much more personal having someone who has known Jackson his entire life perform the ceremony.” – Jordan

“The best advice that I have for future brides is not to sweat the small stuff. I think what I enjoyed most about my wedding/planning experience is that I was not involved in all of the little details when it came to planning the wedding. I relied on my mom, the florist, and the wedding planner to take care of all of the details. I picked out the big things, but other than that, I was not involved in the minute things. That way, my world was not totally absorbed with the wedding! On the day of the wedding, I was A) surprised when I saw the spaces and B) not picking apart what didn’t look exactly how I had wanted it. It made the day so much less stressful!” – Jordan

“Cutting the cake is way harder than it looks! Having to cut the cake together was actually a huge challenge for us, and Jackson accidentally knocked our cake onto the table instead of the plate!“ – Jordan

“Gosh, I have quite a few vendors I’d like to brag on:

Kevin at Le Fleur!! He went above and beyond. He was also so easy to work with. I really didn’t have a specific vision – just a few pictures, but he was able to capture my personality effortlessly.

Ansley, with the Peabody, made the entire process so stress-free. She was always available and full of information. Ansley went out of her way to make sure that we had everything that we needed, and I cannot thank her enough.

Adam Levin, who was in charge of the band, also did a fantastic job. He captured exactly what we were looking for when he selected the members of the band. He also incorporated all of our recommendations for songs while putting his own spin on things. The band seriously made the night!

Lastly, my photographer is someone I will also highly recommend 😊 When we first talked, I told her that the pictures were what I was least looking forward to. However, Anne Marie was efficient, professional, all while making me feel so comfortable. They did not take long, but we got every single shot that we wanted – I can’t wait to see how beautiful they turned out!” – Jordan

“The entire day was so surreal! I still almost feel like it didn’t actually happen. You plan for so long, and then the day arrives, and it all comes to life! I think what surprised me the most was that there were not any hiccups because I expected a few. Everyone involved was so amazing, and the day was a dream.” – Jordan
