We cannot express how much fun this family was! I hope that these pictures capture the true fun-loving joy of the day. We wish Jane Howell and Thomas a lifetime of happiness together!

“Thomas and I were in our friend Lanie and Andrew Bridewell’s wedding in 2015. He was a groomsman, and I was a bridesmaid. That is how we ‘technically met,’ but I actually saw him before then at another wedding I was at in the Delta. I walked up to Thomas at the bar and started making small talk. He asked if we were doing anything after the wedding, so I gave him my number, and I will never forget waking up to that text at 1 AM ‘Hey pretty girl, where are you?’ I still laugh about that text today!” – Jane Howell

“Funny story…after that 1 AM text message, I texted him back the next day, and we started talking pretty much every day all day for about a week. Ole Miss and Arkansas were playing that next weekend in Oxford, so we hung out in Oxford all weekend long. That Sunday, when he was leaving Oxford, he asked me to go on a date with him in the middle of the week – he was living in Greenville at the time, and I was still in Memphis (3 hours away from each other) – and I reluctantly said yes. I BEGGED my mom not to make me go, but she made me, so I did. After the date was over, I knew something was going to come out of it. A couple of weeks later, I went to Lake Village, Arkansas, and we went to his hunting camp for the night. We were all sitting around, and they were all giving us a hard time about what we were, so I decided then to have that ‘define the relationship talk’ with him – OOPS.” – Jane Howell

“We were actually in Greenville for family Christmas at my Uncle’s house the day he proposed. We started this tradition about a year or two ago. Both of our families get together at my Aunt and Uncle’s, and we have a Christmas dinner together. It was December 15th, 2018, and I kept thinking to myself, ‘surely it will happen tonight since both of our families are going to be together’ (More so praying than thinking!). Thomas and I were at his parent’s house, and I was upstairs getting ready, and I remember Thomas kept coming up there to ‘check on me.’ When I was finally walking down the stairs to leave, there Thomas AND BUFF (his dog) were down on one knee, and before I knew what was going on, he blurted, ‘Will you marry me!?’ It took me a while to say yes because I kept saying, ‘huh’ and ‘what!’ So, we popped the bottle of champagne, got in the car, and drove to Tribbett to celebrate with all of our family!” – Jane Howell

“I really didn’t have many dreams as a little girl about my wedding. I knew that God would place the right man in my life, and when the time was right, I would get married. I always have prayed for my future husband, and The Lord couldn’t have picked a better ‘forever’ for me!” – Jane Howell

“While we were on our first date, this precious older gentleman came up to our table and asked us, ‘How long have y’all been married?’ We both awkwardly laughed and said it was our first date. He told us both that we had something special together and made a great couple. I guess it was pretty foreshadowing!” – Jane Howell

“Being surrounded by SO many of our family and friends is what really made our wedding so special. Many of them had to travel to the Delta for our wedding, and that meant so much to us. Getting married in the catholic church that Thomas grew up in also made our wedding incredibly special. The most important ‘milestones’ of his life have happened at that church, so getting married there was very special to us. Also, I will have to say, the VERY most special part about our wedding was having the reception at my Aunt and Uncle’s house. They did SO MUCH behind the scenes work, and my Uncle and I are very close. There have been many special memories along the way at their house, and to have our reception there meant the world to us!” – Jane Howell

“I did have a few traditions in my wedding – I always want to incorporate anything that has meaning or tradition behind it. So for my wedding day, I had a handkerchief around my bouquet that my mom and my grandmother both carried in their weddings. It had my late grandmother’s wedding band, my late grandfather’s wedding band, and my mother-in-law’s band all tied on to it. I had the sixpence that my grandmother and mom had in their shoe. I also wore my mother in laws garter under my dress.

I also wanted to share that for my rehearsal dinner, I redid my mom’s wedding dress and wore it. It was such a treasure and honor to be able to wear that.” – Jane Howell

“I knew I wanted a classy, elegant southern wedding. I am not much of a bold, over the top kind of person, so a chic southern wedding was what I had in mind. Lagniappe took that and made my dreams come true and more!” – Jane Howell

“What really surprised me the most was that after all of the stressing, worrying, and everything in between EVERY SINGLE THING went perfect. I have always heard how fast the day flies by, and I never wanted the day to end!” – Jane Howell

“I want to send a special thank you to…

Shuler Studio – For my beautiful monogram that we used. Pam has a true talent and was so patient with me. She brought my vision to life, and she far exceeded any of my expectations.

Lagniappe – EVERYTHING they touch, and everything they do, truly shows how hard they work. They put SO much time into helping make everything perfect for our wedding, and it definitely did not go unnoticed. Not only did they make this day so perfect for us, but they are also wonderful friends and miracle workers! We can not love them enough.

Taylor Square Photography – I cannot thank them enough for everything!! MY GOODNESS! Ann-Marie and Mackenzie were genuine angels, helped calm me down all day, and were so chill. I had MORE compliments from the family and wedding party about how talented and kind they are. And to be able to deal with our crazy bunch says a whole lot! They really do such wonderful things and are wonderful people!

Maggie Louise Bridal – Words can’t even begin to describe how they made me feel like such a beautiful bride!!! I had ZERO clue what type of dress I wanted to wear, and within seconds, they knew what I should try on and which dress was ‘the one’ for me. They made me feel like a princess, and are all just so precious and hilarious! I cannot thank them and their team enough for all they do.” – Jane Howell

“If I could give any advice to other brides, I would tell them that all of the little details you get worked up about, all of the little things, everything will work itself out. At the end of the day, you and your husband will be married, regardless of what happens. This day is truly ALL about you two – enjoy EVERY single second of it, because it really does FLY by.” – Jane Howell

“The best advice I received as a bride was not to sweat the small stuff, which, in my case, was easier said than done. I am so glad I realized that at the end of the day, regardless of what happens – my husband and I still will be married. Also, I was told to HAVE FUN, and I FOR SURE listened to that! I did not get off that stage, nor did I want to get off that stage!” – Jane Howell

“Our friend, Ted, has been known to take his shirt off when a good time comes around…so what did he do?! He took his shirt off. That’s when we knew everyone was having a blast!” – Jane Howell
