Mary Dawson & Brian | Elegant Tupelo Antler Wedding

Mary Dawson and Brian’s January Tupelo wedding was such a special day. You could tell that family was a central focus for the weekend and it was amazing seeing these two families come together to celebrate such a sweet couple. Mary Dawson has three sisters (I promise they could all pass as twins!) and Brian has several siblings including three sisters himself, so half the bridesmaids were siblings! I can only imagine how much fun holidays will be with all these ladies getting together!

“I definitely always had dreams of a wedding as a little girl. I grew up with three sisters and no brothers-so there was a lot of playing dress up and pretend weddings.” -Mary Dawson

Brian and I met in high school. He actually asked me to officially be his girlfriend the very last day of senior year! We continuing dating all of college and had dated a little over four years when he proposed!”

The proposal happened this past May after we both graduated college and had moved back to Tupelo. My high school friends planned a dinner that night because we were all home for the summer. I got ready for a girls night, and one of my childhood friends text to say she could pick me up. Once she picked me up, we drove through the back of my neighborhood where Brian was. My family owns some land in the back of my neighborhood that Brian and I like to walk around on during pretty days. Brian was waiting on a trail- and it was then that I realized what was happening. I got out of the car and he led me to a quaint area with a quilt on the ground. He asked and I said yes! We then went to a party where all my friends and our families were there to celebrate! ” -Mary Dawson

Try to live in the moment on your wedding day. It is crazy how fast it flies by, but those moments where you can look around and soak it all in are the coolest and most surreal.” -Mary Dawson

I think something really special about this day is that my parents got married in that same church almost 30 years ago, which makes it mean so much more to me that we got to get married there. I used my mom’s lace around by bouquet- it is so special to think about how she wore that same lace in the same church on their wedding day!” -Mary Dawson

Fresh Cuts of Jackson, Mississippi designed all the florals and the Antler reception. They accentuated the Antler’s rustic decor with white florals and greenery scattered about. The dance floor was decorated with a suspended display featuring candles and whispers of white flowers throughout. They also displayed appetizers by suspending them from the ceiling in hanging plates. What an awesome way to showcase food!

The day itself went by so fast and so smoothly- I was amazed at the ease of the day and how it came together even better than I imagined! This day was so special because of how Brian and I got to be surrounded by all the people that we love the most.” -Mary Dawson

Brian and I want to thank our families and friends – especially our parents for making our wedding weekend truly so special and beautiful!! We both have big, close-knit families so it meant a lot to get to spend the weekend with them. Both mine and Brian’s parents have poured so much into us and continue to do so. It was the best feeling to have them help us and be there for us throughout the day and on this journey we are taking together! We appreciate them more than they will ever know!” -Mary Dawson
