This celebration of love was long awaited by many, but boy was it worth the wait! Allison Ann and Peyton share a beautiful love story of commitment and patience. We were so grateful to play a role in such a special day.

“Peyton and I met at a high school dance, the MUS homecoming dance to be exact. I was a freshman and he was a junior. I was in a red ruffle dress and Peyton was in his football jersey. He messaged me on Facebook after and gave me his number, and we’ve talked every day since then!” – Allison Ann

“It’s funny when people ask us how we started dating. Peyton actually never asked me out! I guess he didn’t have to. We knew it was meant to be!” – Allison Ann

“My family and I go to Grandfather Mountain every summer in North Carolina. I have been going there since I was a baby. He knows how much this place means to me and proposed on Grandfather Mountain. The whole thing was a surprise. I was in yoga pants and a hat and had pulled all my nail polish off the day before… I had no idea it was coming! It was perfect in every way!” – Allison Ann

“I wore two garter belts. One for Peyton to throw, and the other was my moms. I also had a broach that each of my late grandmothers had left me attached to my dress. The three most important women I’ve known were close to me as I walked down the aisle.” – Allison Ann

“We dated for 8 years before we got engaged, and of those 8 years we lived in two different cities for 7 of them. We could not wait to be married so we could wake up and go to sleep in the same city every night! Our original wedding day, April 25 2020, was special because our focus was entirely on one another and the commitment we were making. Our celebration a year later, on our anniversary weekend, was also so special because it gave us the chance to celebrate with our family and friends and show them the love that has grown between us after a year of marriage!” – Allison Ann

“I couldn’t believe the peace I had on my wedding day. After so much uncertainty, I had an immense sense of peace during each moment of the day and night. It is due to my incredible family and friends and the work of our vendors to create the perfect day.” – Allison Ann

“The best advice I received was from my mom, who had received this advice from her grandmother on her wedding day. ‘Nerves are normal, getting married is a leap of faith. You don’t know who the person you marry will become or how many days you will have together. You have to have a little faith. Faith in yourself and faith in God. He won’t misguide you and He doesn’t make mistakes.'” – Allison Ann

“We arrived at the church and shortly before walking down the aisle my parents and I realized the veil was still at the Peabody. My dad had to run back to the Peabody to get it, although we really weren’t sure where it was. My mom and I looked at each other and she said ‘Well, if we don’t have the veil it will be okay’ and I said back very calmly, ‘Yes, it could be worse, but I did really like that veil. It was a really pretty veil.’ Nothing could have upset us or surprised us after this year! *We found the veil just in time!” – Allison Ann

“I have always dreamed of the double doors at the church opening, the trumpets blowing, and of me walking down the aisle with my dad’s arm linked in mine. I dreamed of meeting the person I love at the end of the aisle and being surrounded by the people who care for us the most.” – Allison Ann

“Mona Dunlap, our wedding planner, and Greg Campbell at Garden District, had to re-plan our wedding for four different dates, three seasons of flowers, and two venues. They never wavered and are truly professionals. All of the vendors are owed recognition for their patience this year. Together, the vendors and I, endured the many changes and immense uncertainty that Covid caused. We cancelled everything two weeks before our original wedding date and none of us knew what to do. I’m forever grateful to our vendors who rescheduled, readjusted, and had to rethink everything for us and our wedding day!” – Allison Ann

“I love simplicity. I wanted my wedding to be elegant but comfortable!” – Allison Ann

“I met Peyton before I could drive a car. He was 16 and I was 15. We navigated a long distance relationship and blindly got married after living in two different cities for 7 years. It was a leap of faith, but faith is exactly what got us to this point today. Faith in God and faith in one another. We have never been happier in the ten years we have known one another.” – Allison Ann

“Don’t let anything ruin your day. Not rain or broken zippers or spilled wine. You only get to have this day once and there is no time to spend even one minute of it unhappy!” – Allison Ann
