Blair and Kyle are two of the sweetest people we have ever worked with. Kyle is a little outgoing and gregarious while Blair is a little more reserved. But when you get them together, they act like they are the only people in the room. One of my favorite parts of the day was when I followed them out of the church after the ceremony. The happiness was contagious! I hope that we captured the joy that these two share. I feel like it shines through their wedding story and I can’t wait to share it with you.
“ I always wanted a traditional wedding, I can remember being in elementary school at ECS-Ridgelake campus being in chapel and thinking that it would be a beautiful place to get married- years later our family became members so there was no question when I got engaged that I wanted to the wedding to be at First Evan. My garter was a combination of lace from Kyle’s mother’s wedding dress and lace from my mother’s wedding dress.” -Blair
“Kyle and I actually met through work in Prattville, Alabama at an International Paper facility. We both share the love of golf, so we quickly became golfing buddies grabbing a quick 9 holes in after work. It didn’t take long for me to realize that I was enjoying his company more than the round. A few weeks and many rounds of golf later, Kyle asked me out to a local pizza restaurant in town and asked me to be his girlfriend and we became “official”. After dating for several months, I was transferred to Maysville, KY for work. This put me and Kyle 8+ hours apart. I feel like that made our relationship so much stronger and we made a priority to see each other monthly. We know now to never take moments together for granted.” -Blair
“What surprised me the most is that I was nervous until I saw Kyle at the first look. I was actually very at peace and calm the rest of the day. I just knew that I was following God’s plan of marrying Kyle.” -Blair
“My family vacations in Florida for memorial weekend every year to participate in a fishing rodeo in memory of my grandfather. Kyle pulled off an excellent surprise proposing on Santa Rosa beach with both of our families hiding in the background capturing the moment on camera. We immediately set a date both of us wanting a spring wedding.” –Blair
Blair and her girls looked amazing despite battling 20+mph winds all day! They even had a little fun reenacting that beloved scene from Titanic.
“A funny thing that happened the day of the wedding that I did not find out about until after is that Kyle’s groomsmen had wardrobe malfunctions. A couple of Kyles groomsmen were college football linemen, so finding attire that fits correctly is a challenge. Both of their tuxes had “blow outs” the day of the ceremony- buttons exploding and shoes falling apart. They had to drive to the tuxedo shop a couple hours before the wedding to get everything fixed.” -Blair
“My grandmom said to Kyle that she didn’t know what was going on but she was going to keep on smiling at the camera. She just cracked us up because it was like her own little photo shoot. She’s such a special lady.” -Blair
“What made the wedding special was the fact that the long distance was finally over. We had been living in different states for almost two years and the wedding was the day we felt like we had been waiting for, for so long. Also, all our friends and family were able to be there and share the enjoyment with us.” -Blair
“The best advice that I received is to relax and soak the day in- it goes by so fast.” -Blair
“Don’t get wrapped up in thinking everything has to go perfect. And make sure you rely on your bridesmaids. I couldn’t have gotten through the day without them. They were so helpful and made me so happy and relaxed.” –Blair
