It is rare that a cold, rainy, February day creates such magical photos, but this one was a beautiful exception. Taylor and Baxter’s love for each other, accompanied by an incredible venue, made it easy to get creative and shoot some of our favorite photos yet.
We are so happy with how this gallery turned out and we cannot wait to continue sharing more! Thank you, Taylor and Baxter, for allowing us to play such a fun role in your wedding day. Cheers! – Mackenzie
“Taylor hates surprises, so I always told her the only surprise I had for her was my proposal. It was so spontaneous, it was almost a surprise for me, too. The day I picked up her ring, I still wasn’t sure when and where to propose. That same day, Taylor’s mom helped me pick out the perfect spot at the Country Club of Jackson. After Taylor asked what she should wear, I picked the white dress over the blue, but she ended up wearing blue, so I knew she had no idea. I was so nervous and white as a ghost, and Taylor kept asking what was wrong with me. Nevertheless, it all ended up being perfect, even with only a few hours of planning.” – Baxter
“One of Taylor’s best friends since she was three years old happened to be at an Ole Miss basketball game with her now husband and all of his friends, including Baxter. Baxter was looking for a fraternity formal date in New Orleans, and she suggested one of her single roommates. The rest is history! We went to New Orleans for the weekend, and now six years later, here we are, MARRIED!!” – Baxter
“We are so grateful for our friends and family who celebrated our special day with us. It was so special to see so many friends and family that we haven’t seen in many years who traveled from several states away to be with us on our wedding day.” – Baxter
“Reading each other’s letter was such a special moment, it’s when reality really began to set it, and we realized how much our relationship has grown over our years together and that our special day was finally here!” – Taylor + Baxter
“So many of our distant family and friends, some of whom we haven’t seen in over a decade, traveled from states all across the country to celebrate with us. It really showed how much we’re loved and meant so much to us and our families.” – Baxter
“Taylor is such a kind and caring person and gives 100% to everything she does. She makes me a better me, and always has fun!” – Baxter
“Baxter is my favorite person to be around constantly, my best friend, and my biggest supporter! We have so much fun together and knew that together meant forever.” – Taylor
“My mom surprised me and incorporated my gold baby bracelet into my wedding bouquet as my ‘something old.'” – Taylor
“I have always wanted an outdoor wedding that emphasized candles and greenery. The Reed House venue was beautiful and Wendy and Julia Putt created my dream wedding!” – Taylor
“I always wanted a beautiful outdoor wedding surrounded by our families and friends, and it was everything I imagined and more! My favorite part of the ceremony was when my brother, Walker Jay, and my sister-in-law, Emily, sang ‘Jesus, We Love You’ as I walked down the aisle with my dad. It will always be a special memory.” – Taylor
“The best advice I received was to remember all of the love and support we received from our family and friends. Baxter was also reminded of the most important rule, “happy wife, happy life!” and that when it comes to being right or being happy, always choose happy!” – Taylor
“Also, walking into the reception venue for the first time into such a beautiful scene of candles and flowers and cheers from all of our loved ones made us feel so special and loved and ready to celebrate our marriage for the first time with all of those closest to us.” – Taylor + Baxter
“Even after much preparation, and with complete confidence that our first dance would go exactly as we had practiced, we never practiced while I was in my wedding dress. So we could not move our feet very well and just had to laugh it off while we faked it all the way through.” – Taylor + Baxter
“Everything ran so smoothly and we were both so relaxed throughout the day. This was all due to our amazing wedding planner, Lesley Morton!” – Taylor
“Baxter came up with our hashtag #GeddieUp very soon after we first talked about marriage. Taylor immediately shot him down. It ended up being a great idea we used after all and for the theme of the ‘late-night’ reception!” – Taylor
