We had the best weekend in Alabama capturing two beautiful people in love. Tab and Joseph have such a sweet love story that proves that no timing is better than God’s timing in our lives. We are so happy for these two newlyweds and their precious families and friends that we got to know along the way. Thank you, Tab and Joseph, for trusting us to capture such a special day in your lives.
“I dreamed much more about the man I would marry than I did about my actual wedding as a little girl. I prayed for a man who would love me, love my family, love the Lord, and be the best partner in life. The Lord truly provided in Joseph, as he is everything I ever hoped for, dreamed of, or prayed for in a husband!” – Tab
“Olivia Walsh, my best friend and one of my bridesmaids, designed our wedding invitations. She also went above and beyond with every detail of them to make sure we loved our invitations! They are such a treasured keepsake for us now.” – Tab
“Maggie Louise Bridal is absolutely amazing. They helped me find the perfect dress and also helped me find some additional lace when I wanted to add some floral pieces to the top of my wedding dress. They went above and beyond and I would recommend them to any bride searching for a special wedding dress.” – Tab
“Abby Hicks, my new sister in law, did my hair for our wedding day! She’s amazing and is a new hair stylist at a salon in Huntsville. I definitely want to give Abby a shout out for doing multiple hair trials on me to ensure I loved my hair! It was exactly what I wanted and envisioned with my wedding dress!” – Tab
“Joseph and I both grew up in Huntsville, Alabama, and even in the same church, but we were a few grades apart in school so our paths never really crossed. I moved to Memphis for my pharmacy residency and Joseph moved to Memphis for a new job opportunity a few years after me. Joseph’s mom got my phone number from my mom when she heard I lived in Memphis, as Joseph was new to Memphis. He called me to grab a drink as friends and we had the best timing getting to know one another! My first impression of Joseph was that he was incredibly intentional, caring, hilarious, and confident.” – Tab
“Joseph called me a few months after we grabbed drinks as friends and asked me on an actual date. We picked up dinner and brought it to my apartment, as Memphis was in phase one re-opening (thanks Covid!) and not many restaurants were open for dine in. We had the best first date as we sat on my couch and talked for hours after dinner. We felt like we’d known each other forever and it only took a few weeks for us to be certain we wanted to spend forever with each other!” – Tab
“Joseph proposed to me on the front porch steps of the house he bought in Memphis. He chose that location as he said he hoped it would one day be our home as husband and wife and the home of our future family. When he proposed, he gave me a bible engraved with my new name on it to signify that the goal of our marriage would always be to glorify and honor the Lord. He asked some of our best friends, Pepper and Wesley, to hide across the street and take pictures of it all. It was the sweetest night and the best surprise I’ve ever had!” – Tab
“Our wedding felt incredibly special for so many reasons, but the main reason was that all of our people were in one place! Our sweet friends and family traveled from near and far to celebrate us and it was such a blast! It felt like holy ground to be surrounded by every person that we love and cherish in one room. Our wedding party, family, friends, and vendors all went above and beyond to make our entire wedding so perfect and special!” – Tab
“The words I wanted people to use to describe our wedding were elegant, classic, timeless, and simple.” – Tab
“I held my grandmother’s broach and a handkerchief from the Hicks family around my bridal bouquet as I walked down the aisle. All the Hicks women have carried the handkerchief in their weddings and both my sisters carried my grandmother’s broach on their wedding bouquets.” – Tab
“I think most people would be surprised that Joseph and I grew up in the same hometown, went to the same church and high school, but somehow never met in Huntsville. The Lord took us both to Memphis in what felt like a “random” manner for new job opportunities, but now we both fully believe that the Lord also brought us both to Memphis to bring us together. We love Memphis for many reasons, but of course, the main reason we love it now is because it’s where we met and fell in love!” – Tab
“My dad’s very favorite song is “Friends in Low Places” by Garth Brooks. We played it during one of our band breaks at the reception and my dad and I got to dance to it together. One of my favorite memories from the weekend was getting to sing along with him to his favorite song on the dance floor!” – Tab
“I was most surprised by how everything fell into place so perfectly. It was a lot of planning, but it all came together so seamlessly and I wouldn’t change a thing about our day!” – Tab
“The best advice I received as a bride was to not forget to pause and take it all in. So many dear friends and family told me to “stop and smell the roses” during our wedding weekend. The engagement season and especially wedding weekend go by so fast so I tried multiple times to just pause and recognize all that was happening, soak in all the details, and savor the memories from the sweetest season. I was so glad they reminded me to do that, as I tend to be on that gets caught up in details. During our wedding weekend, I was able to not worry about the details and instead just tried to soak in the beautiful way everything came together.” – Tab
“My advice to future brides would be to savor the moment. All your dear friends and family are in one place! You’re marrying your man! It’s a hectic weekend, but try to take time to pause and soak it all as much as you can!” – Tab
