This blog post is about something very near and dear to our hearts here at Taylor Square. For those of you who don’t already know, we have recently made a pretty big leap and opened our own studio here in Oxford- The White Studio. We have thoroughly enjoyed the creativity that has blossomed within these four walls over the past few months, and we are so excited about the potential at hand. One of the first things we wanted to do in the studio was a styled shoot showcasing the beauty of simplistic bridals with a solid white backdrop. At times, styled shoots can become overwhelmed with all of the “fluff,” and it can distract from the actual subjects of the shoot. We really made an effort to keep this shoot simple, clean, and romantic. We had three stunning models that we wanted to put the majority of our focus on. We also had a couple of key vendors that helped us turn our vision into a reality! A huge thanks to Jessica Mathias for doing hair and makeup, and Elizabeth Rose with Willow Bride for providing the dresses! We couldn’t have executed this without their help. I hope that you enjoy this peek inside our first styled shoot in our new studio!

Our first model was the beautiful Hannah Perrigin. Hannah was crowned Most Beautiful last February at the University of Mississippi 68th annual Parade of Beauties. She placed first out of the sixty-one girls competing and was crowned by our second model, Aysa Branch. Hannah is also an Ole Miss Diamond Girl and a personal trainer. She was just as beautiful inside as she is out! Her dramatic features are captivating and aligned perfectly with our intentions for the shoot.

Our second model was the stunning Asya Branch of Booneville, Mississippi. Asya was crowned Miss Mississippi USA last month in Tunica, Mississippi. She not only holds this impressive title but also is the first-ever African American to win Miss Mississippi USA! Asya’s platform stands for empowering children of incarcerated parents- a movement that she cares deeply about. This past June, Asya also launched her very own cosmetic line: Branch Beauty Cosmetics! We loved our time with Asya! Her smile is genuine, her heart is golden, and her features were perfect for the look we were shooting for. Taylor Square Photography wants to wish a warm congratulations to Asya, and we can’t wait to cheer you on as you represent Mississippi in Miss USA!

Our final model was the sweet Sydney Gully. Sydney is one of our upcoming brides, and we are so excited to shoot her big day! This coming January, Sydney is marrying the love of her life- Grey Crosthwait. Sydney modeled a beautiful gown from Willow Bride before we got some bridals of her in her own wedding dress. Her personal bridals will be kept a secret until her big day, but we hope that you enjoy these beautiful shots of her in Willow Bride’s dress until then. Sydney is such a joy to be around, and we could not be more excited that she chose us to capture her big day!
