Anna Claire and Damian’s love story is truly as close to a fairy tale as there can be in real life. Disney Princess meets Irish (adorable) Prince. They get swept up into a whirlwind romance all while managing amazing careers and looking absolutely beautiful. So, why wouldn’t their immaculately planned Memphis wedding be nothing short of perfect? Well, it was. We had animals flocking to her, fingers were pricked, the ceremony appeared to take place in a castle, and the reception was decorated like a dream with one heck of a party. (This family can DANCE). Read on to see this couple’s happily ever after. —Ann-Marie

“I actually never dreamed or really thought of a wedding at all until I fell in love with Damian. Knowing I was going to marry him was what made me excited. I definitely started dreaming about the wedding once I knew he was my person!” – Anna Claire

“I had beautiful lace wrapped around my bouquet that my grandmother and mom did the same with!” -Anna Claire

“That morning set the mood for the day!! I had the best time with my girls!! They are so special and made my day so bright! I felt so much comfort, giddiness and love with them by my side! I feel so blessed and thankful for them!!” -Anna Claire

“We met through one of my bridesmaids and one of our best friends Kendall! So thankful she brought us into each other’s lives!!” – Anna Claire

“The inspiration was a few things combined. There was definitely Disney princess fairytale inspiration combined with Ireland inspiration. We tried to incorporate lighthearted, playful fun that we wanted everyone to feel.” -Anna Claire

Anna Claire had the idea from the very beginning that she wanted to surprise Damian at the first look. We had everything lined up for that to happen, and the duck march began on the Peabody Hotel rooftop. We all panicked a little because I knew if we didn’t hurry and turn him around, he would see her coming out. We got him moved just in time for her arrival and for the ducks to march by. It worked out to be super special, and Damian was definitely surprised! I love it when we get to try new things! —Ann-Marie

“The proposal happened in the first spot we ever went to together, our first date. We were on the beach in Malibu out on the rocks! He took me on a picnic and I have never cried so many happy tears. It was so special! He tried to spell ‘will you marry me’ in the sand but the sand was so dry, it just looked lumpy. He then started to fill in the words with chips from the picnic basket and like 100 birds came up and starting eating them and squaking at us. It was so funny and looking back, we are glad it happened. He then gave up and just grabbed the ring to ask me with the sweetest words! Later, I was surprised with my parents being in town and a great night with friends and family! He couldn’t have made it any better!” -Anna Claire

“Best advice given to me as a bride was to stay present . Things are going to go wrong no matter what so just take it lightly and soak it in.” -Anna Claire

“What made our wedding day so special was the people 100%. The new friendships from all over the world. The excitement, love, and energy in the room. We feel so blessed to have the best friends and family ever.” -Anna Claire

“I found five spiders in my dress from walking around outside and twelve (!) needles from the dress accidentally not being fully hemmed. I bled on my wedding dress from pricking my finger which honestly was kind of funny (it came out with cold water thanks to Mona).” —Anna Claire

Anna Claire kept telling me something was poking her, but I couldn’t find anything in the 10+ layers in her dress. At some point during the day Anna Claire yelped and said “Oh! I’ve pricked my finger!” As bad is it was to happen on your wedding day, she took it in stride with a smile. It almost seemed appropriate for the Disney theme. —Ann-Marie

“I prayed to be present and thanked God in advance for the best day ever!! If you put yourself in that mindset from the get-go you really can be present!!! Soak in every moment and have the time of your life!! Focus on the love. Focus on your fiancé and the people around you and I promise you will have the best time!!” -Anna Claire

“The cakes!! The soccer stadium cake omygoodness the detail was incredible and the wedding cake in the entry room was so beautiful and Damian (who doesn’t like cake) had a bite and said it was delicious!!!” – Anna Claire

“I knew when I first met Anna Claire and Damian that it was going to be all about the fun. Anna Claire and Damian came back to their hometown in The South to marry, so it was my job to fit together three different cultures… The South, Hollywood, and Ireland into one spot so that the night could truly reflect who they are, where they come from, and their journey together.” —Mona Dunlap, Mona Dunlap Events of Memphis, TN

“Singing sweet Caroline on stage was the best surprise and one of the best moments of our life looking out at everyone we love singing back to us. So cool. That was definitely the anthem of the weekend!!” -Anna Claire

“The only surprise was that it was more than we could have ever dreamed. We just felt complete joy all day surrounded by the best people keeping the party going!!” -Anna Claire

“The balloon drop was one of my favorite moments!! For a second all I could see was white balloons. It was a great way to wrap up dancing our hearts out for hours! We just kicked them around and threw them in the air for the last few songs!” –Anna Claire

Anna Claire and Damian, thank you so much for trusting us to capture your real life fairy tale wedding. It was SO fun. I hope I captured your story with all the magic it truly possessed. —Ann-Marie
