We truly enjoyed working with Carrie and Ryan throughout every part of the wedding process. From shooting their engagement photos to being a part of their wonderful rehearsal dinner and beautiful wedding day- it was all a dream! Carrie and Ryan share an amazing love story, and it was an honor to help document such a magical day for them. We will cherish it forever.

“There were so many funny and unforeseeable events leading up to and during the wedding weekend. I had several family and friends whose flights got canceled last minute due to the hurricanes. Several reached out to me the night before the wedding, making attempts to be there. Low and behold, they were there the next day bound and determined to be there in full support. I’ll never forget waking up on the morning of our wedding to tornado sirens going off. All I can say is thank you, 2020, for bringing us to the realization of just how strong we are as a couple. If we can survive wedding planning in a national pandemic with hurricanes and tornadoes, I’m pretty sure we can make it through anything that the world has to offer.” – Carrie Beth

“My favorite movie as a child was The Little Mermaid, and I always dreamed of finding my prince charming and marrying him in a mermaid dress. As a little girl, my mom bestowed in me to pick a strong, kind-hearted man, and above all else, to have the capacity to love beyond imagine. Ryan exceeded all my expectations and could not be a more perfect prince charming. My true prince Eric that loves rocks ;).” – Carrie Beth

“My first look with Ryan made our wedding day so special. It set the tone for the whole ceremony. I was so glad I got to have a moment with my future husband before all the wedding ceremony craziness began. Even if he did tell me it sounded like a horse was walking up behind him (note: Practice walking in wedding heels before the wedding. He’s pretty much the next Shakespeare you guys). I will never forget his reaction (he may have teared up a little ;)). Having the time to take a second to breathe with my favorite person, just the two of us, will be something I will never forget.” – Carrie Beth

“I met Ryan during our final spring semester at Ole Miss in 2011. We had several mutual friends, and luckily our paths crossed right before we were both leaving for different cities three months later. It was almost an instant attraction, and we spent almost every day of those last three months in Oxford together.” – Carrie Beth

“We began dating the day before I moved to Nashville, TN, to start grad school, and the day before Ryan moved to Biloxi, MS. We knew we did not want to be without each other despite the long distance. After dating on and off for eight years, I decided to move to Dallas, TX, to see if we could make the relationship work. A few short months later, we were engaged.” – Carrie Beth

“Ryan proposed in April of 2019 at the Dallas Arboretum and Botanical Garden. Ryan flew his sister in, and they went out a day before he planned to propose to practice and search for the perfect spot to pop the question. Ryan got down on one knee while Malina hid in the bushes to take pictures. After he proposed, he surprised me by having 3 of my best girlfriends flown in and a party of all our friends in Dallas waiting to celebrate the big proposal.” – Carrie Beth

“My first look with my Dad was an incredible moment. This girl loves her daddy almost as much as he loves her. I have never felt more blessed in my life to have him walk me down the aisle on my wedding day. In this moment, I was able to take the time to thank him for all the wonderful things he has done in my life. There will never be enough ‘thank you’s’ that I could say to this man, but I was so happy to have a moment to try. It was such a special moment to have with my sweet dad, and I will cherish it forever.” – Carrie Beth

“We not only had to deal with a global pandemic, but two hurricanes. In the days leading up to the wedding, the forecast was calling for a 100% chance of rain. However, on the morning, and for the majority of the day of our wedding, it was sunny with blue skies. It was nothing short of a miracle, and I cannot help but think some of our angels from above may have had something to do with it ;).” – Carrie Beth

“I just knew I had to have the floating cake and the champagne wall. David, with Oxford Floral and Claire and Ellen, made the rest of the magic happen. I would send pictures, and they would just know exactly what to do. I cannot thank them enough for bringing my ideas to life and for making the decor more beautiful than I could have imagined.” – Carrie Beth

“Thanks to sweet SJ for the beautiful handkerchief that I used as my something new on my bouquet. Thanks to Mama Lyd, who allowed me to wear her beautiful diamond studs as my something borrowed, and thanks to Tricia for making my hair look vintage glam with a blue hair barrette for my something blue.” – Carrie Beth

“Growing up, my sister had an outside wedding in my grandmother’s backyard. I think that’s the first time I knew that I wanted to have an outdoor ceremony. Unfortunately, due to rain, the ceremony had to be moved inside on our wedding day. However, since the Jefferson has amazing floor to ceiling windows, I was still able to feel like I was outside, and I can’t tell you how many guests have commented on the view from behind the altar. Not only did they not get wet, but they also got a front-row view of the storm and a magical view of the rainbow. I could hear gasps as we were standing on the altar from the guests in awe of the view. It could not have turned out more perfectly.” – Carrie Beth

“I will never forget after our Pastor saying ‘I now pronounce you husband and wife’ sprinting down the aisle and tripping on my dress. Sadly, this was supposed to be my grandad’s cue to get up and sing his solo for the recessional. I was so proud that he stood up and began singing anyways, and sing he did. I will never forget this special moment as he sang, ‘Have I Told You Lately That I Love You.’ He may have added an extra verse or three just to stress out the wedding planner a bit, but it was perfect, and I enjoyed every second. I think the crowd would agree as they gave him a standing ovation at the end. Truly a moment I will cherish forever.” – Carrie Beth

“There were so many things that happened to make this day one that I will never forget. The most memorable moment was having a rainbow shoot across the sky after it came a downpour during the middle of our ceremony. It made us feel like all of our angels were with us, watching over us and giving us their blessing for a beautiful marriage/life together.” – Carrie Beth

“The best advice I received as a bride was to breathe, take everything in, and enjoy every second. I had several people tell me to just ‘take a second’ to look around at everything around me. I am so glad that I took this advice because the day does go so fast. I am happy that I took the time to just stop to look around the room to see how everything I had been planning for the past year (plus) came to fruition. As a bride, you wear many hats and are constantly being pulled here and there on your wedding day; I am so glad I took a moment to look around the room to see all of my hard work laid out in front of me.” – Carrie Beth

“I had the best wedding crew you can imagine. Literally, the DREAM TEAM.

I want to thank Margaret Ellen Bridal for welcoming my family and me into her beautiful bridal shop and helping me pick my perfect wedding dress (even though it may not have been a mermaid dress ;)). Thanks to Bella Bridesmaids in Memphis and Men’s Wearhouse for having our crew looking fabulous in their bridesmaid dresses and suits and making the process so easy, despite our wedding party living all over the Southeast of the country.

Thanks to Flour Garden and to Oxford Floral for making all my floating wedding cake dreams come true. The guests are still raving about that cake, and it couldn’t have been more perfect. Thank you to the Jefferson for opening up your venue to us for our wedding day. Your venue is one of the most beautiful places on earth, it is such a gift to the town of Oxford, and I am so glad I was able to spend the day surrounded by so much beauty.

Claire and Ellen, I am at a loss for words when it comes to you two. You both made this whole process so easy despite the many many many hoops and hurdles we had to jump through with COVID-19 upon us. You never let me settle for less than what I wanted, and I have you to thank for making my day so perfect. I cannot thank you both enough. Oxford Floral, you blew it out of the park. The flowers were exactly as I imagined, and you were so easy and fun to work with during this whole process. There wasn’t one idea that I threw your way that you couldn’t handle. Thank you for making it exactly as I envisioned.

Thanks to Kara with Nest Paper Studio for printing and reprinting (thanks COVID) my invites, save the dates, etc. You guys made everything come together so beautifully in prep for our big day and were such a joy to work with throughout this whole process, from save the dates to wedding invitations to hotel gift bags and stickers. I appreciate all of your beautiful design ideas so much.

Thanks to Details Rentals for having all of our tables, chairs, and decor looking fabulous. I mean, can we talk about the champagne wall just one more time?! The guests are still blown away with how awesome it was, and I am so happy with how it turned out.

Thanks to the best band in the south, Almost Famous, for getting us on the dance floor and for keeping the night fun. Y’all rock. Thanks to Claire for letting us have the most amazing rehearsal dinner at The Sipp. I was dying to have a venue on the square that could accommodate us despite the COVID restrictions, and she made this a possibility. Your restaurant is so beautiful, and the food was amazing.

Thanks to Lisa and Christian with Frameblender for hanging with us all day, you two were so much fun to work with, and I cannot wait to see the amazing footage you two caught. You both went above and beyond to capture every moment of our special day, and it meant so much to us that you wanted to get to know us on a personal level to capture the best shots. We appreciate you guys so much.

To Ann-Marie and Mackenzie with Taylor Square Photography, thank you for getting the most amazing shots of us during our engagement photos. You are a magic maker; not only did you have Ryan and I looking flawless, but also the fact that you got Saber (our husky) to cooperate for some amazing shots is truly a miracle. These pictures will be something that I will hold onto for a lifetime. Thank you for all the priceless memories and for working with us on our big day, rain or shine, all while keeping a smile on your face. I know it’s not easy to capture moments with such a large bridal party, but I know if anyone can, its you! I cannot wait to see the pictures. I know I will be blown away per usual. You have so much talent, and I cannot thank you enough for capturing every detail of our wedding day.

To A+N catering, the food could not have been more delicious and exactly as we imagined. Having foods incorporated and inspired by our home towns meant the world to us and made the day that much more meaningful and special. You all blew it out of the park, and I cannot thank you enough for all of the thought you put into each dish served at our wedding and at our day-after brunch.

To Tricia and crew, thank you for having me looking my best all throughout this wedding process. From my engagement party to rehearsal dinner, wedding day, and post-wedding brunch, I cannot tell you how much like a fairytale (mermaid) princess, I felt at each event. Thank you for getting my girls all glammed up; each and every one of them looked stunning. You are so talented, and it meant the world to have you there for my wedding weekend.

Thank you to the Graduate Oxford for being so accommodating the morning of and the whole weekend. Your staff made my girls feel so welcome and provided us with extra washcloths, makeup wipes, coolers, ice, etc., to make the morning go seamlessly. Thanks for being so kind and accommodating to our guests, family, and friends who traveled from out of town to be with us on our special day. You made our stay in Oxford so pleasurable, despite the many restrictions of COVID. Thank you for everything.

Thanks to Robert Riggs and the Oxford Piano Trio for the beautiful ceremony music and for assisting my grandad playing a solo at the end of the ceremony. That will be a moment I will cherish forever.

Last but not least, thank you to John White for officiating the ceremony. I cannot tell you how much it meant to have you and Susannah there for our special day. You have gotten my family through some challenging and happy times. Thank you for your thoughtful words and for telling the story of ‘us’ so beautifully. Thank you for reminding us to always keep God first in our marriage, and for being such a great example of what Christ can do in our lives. Your wo
rds truly touched our hearts, and I cannot thank you enough for the most perfect ceremony.”

“A few more vendors I would like to thank:

I want to thank Altered for the Altar out of Dallas for altering my dress to fit like a glove. I have never felt more beautiful in my life, and I have you to thank for making my dress fit so perfectly.

I want to thank Dez Taylor with Dezzy’s Dezigns in Texas for the beautiful signs she made for us for our wedding day. They turned out so beautifully and enhanced the decor of the wedding while adding a personal touch.

I want to thank my Matron of Honor for reaching out to Caroline Vaughn (@cevcalligraphy) to make a drawing for my memory table. While planning, I came across a drawing, and it created an idea in my head of me having a drawing completed with me in my wedding dress, with my mother, and my two grandmothers, aka, my ‘angels.’ When I opened this from Lauren on the day of my wedding, I was overwhelmed with joy. It couldn’t have been more touching and exactly as I pictured. Thank you for helping me to feel their presence on our special day.

I want to thank Julia Ray with Julia Ray Design Studio for altering my rehearsal dinner dress last minute (literally the day before). I ordered the dress from out of town and hadn’t been able to try it on since pre-COVID. Needless to say, I had to make just a few changes (might have been a little snug), and she was able to make all my rehearsal dress dreams come true. I can’t tell you how many compliments I got on the dress, and I have Julia Ray to thank for helping me pull it off last minute.

I cannot thank Kathey with Wagnolia Bells for getting our fur son ready to go for his big debut as our Ring Bearer. She not only took him for a meet and greet and practice trial at the venue but she made sure he always had treats, a full belly, and that he was looking as dapper as possible. She made our day so stress free and saber felt so calm in her presence. Thank you so much for helping him get down the aisle, I cant imagine he would have done so perfectly if it weren’t for you!

I want to thank Mama Mandy also known as Mandy Norsworthy with Delta Design for designing the most beautiful earrings to go with my rehearsal dinner dress by My Best Friend Jenna. They were so perfect, she never even saw the dress in person but they couldn’t have matched better. Thanks to Jenna Hamilton at My Best Friend Jenna for having such amazing bridal attire in Jackson, TN. When I saw this dress at her fashion show I had to have it and she got it ordered for me the next day.

I also want to give a huge shout out to Aimee Jalbert and JCG Apparel for making sure we stayed safe, healthy, and free of germs with the amazing personalized hand sanitizers and face masks.

After having had a few days to reminisce about our amazing day with my new husband (what, what!), I just have an overwhelming feeling of joy. We are so blessed, and it was such an honor to have all the fantastic vendors, friends, and family present for our big day. If I could sum up our day with one word, it would be BLESSED.” – Carrie Beth

“Having all of our favorite people there on our wedding day truly made the day so special. We had friends and family that traveled from all over the US to be there with us. It meant the world to have them there, despite travel restrictions and fears due to COVID. To look around and have everyone you love and care about all in the same room, knowing that they are only there because of you and for you is so heartwarming. My heart is still so full from the weekend. Having everyone there to show their support made it a day we will never forget.” – Carrie Beth

“Learn to laugh and let the small stuff go. In the end, your day will be perfect. Everything may not go according to plan, but you will never remember the small things that didn’t necessarily work out as you envisioned. I promise you will still have the most magical day of your life. Love big, don’t sweat the small stuff, and enjoy every second of your big day.” – Carrie Beth
